The Mille Lacs County Pandemic Economic Relief Grant program has reopened and is accepting applications from eligible small businesses and nonprofits adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic including any business interruption caused by a required closure by a State of Minnesota Emergency Executive Order in 2020. Funding for this program comes from the State of Minnesota.
Eligible businesses closed by Executive Order 20-99 that did not previously apply may receive a one-time grant of up to $10,000 to assist with eligible expenses. The minimum grant amount is $1,000. Eligible businesses closed by Executive Order 20-99 that have already submitted an application to the grant program and who did not receive a direct payment from the Minnesota Department of Revenue, may apply for an additional one-time grant of $5,000. Eligible nonprofits that earn revenue similar to a for-profit business including, but not limited to ticket sales and membership fees may apply for a one-time grant of $5,000. The minimum grant amount for eligible nonprofits is $1,000.
Applicants are required to thoroughly review grant program guidelines to determine program eligibility before applying. No paper applications will be accepted. Completed digital applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2020 to be considered.
