Patrol Division

The Mille Las County Patrol Division consists of 18 full-time deputies, supervised by two patrol sergeants. This division provides patrol and law enforcement services to residents and visitors of the county. These essential members of the Sheriff's Office are most commonly the first point of contact for the public.

K-9 Unit

The Sheriff's K-9 Unit is also an integral part of the Patrol Division, and provides drug detection services, as well as tracking and apprehension of suspects. The two K-9s currently working for the Sheriff's Office are K-9 Bongo and K-9 Greco.

Training & Certification

The K-9 deputies and their dog attend extensive and rigorous training to become certified by the National Police K-9 Association (NPCA). The K-9 Unit is on-call and available 24/7; they also provide assistance to other agencies, as requested. Additionally, their services are utilized in keeping our children safer by conducting locker searches in local schools, and by helping to search for lost children.
