Mille Lacs County requires homeowners to manage their solid waste in compliance with county regulations, as well as state and federal rules, in an environmentally friendly manner.

Licensed Collectors

The county licenses solid waste haulers that will collect commercial and residential waste and deliver it to a licensed landfill. View a list of our current licensed collectors to find a hauler servicing your area.


The five-county East Central Solid Waste Commission (ECSWC) serves Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine Counties. ECSWC accepts household waste, demolition waste, appliances, tires, electronics, and mattresses. The ECSWC sanitary landfill is located at 1756 180th Avenue, Mora, MN 55051.
