Emergency Management

If you are experiencing a police, fire or medical emergency - Dial 911!

The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office administers a county wide program to coordinate emergency preparedness activities to preserve life, property and the well being of our citizens in the event of a natural, man-made or technological disaster.

Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

Mille Lacs County Emergency Management is currently in the process of updating the County's Hazard Mitigation Plan. In doing so, it is important to get resident input on the planning process - including:

  • What natural hazards do you feel pose the greatest risk to the community?
  • What concerns do you have about natural hazard planning and response?
  • What actions do you feel would help to reduce damages associated with future natural hazards?

For more information, view the Hazard Mitigation Plan press release; or, contact Mille Lacs County Emergency Manager Andy Beckstrom with your questions, concerns, or input.
