The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office administers a county wide program to coordinate emergency preparedness activities to preserve life, property and the well being of our citizens in the event of a natural, man-made or technological disaster.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Integrate emergency planning and preparedness at all levels of government and non-government organizations
- Respond to emergency scenes when needed to provide assistance and coordinate resources
- Conduct training to ensure county departments and staff are able to respond effectively in the event of a disaster or emergency
- Provide public education on how to prepare for and respond to a disaster or emergency.
We encourage all of our citizens to take action now to prepare your family, your business and your community to be ready in the event of a disaster.
Emergency Propane Hotline
A State Emergency Operations Center has established a public hotline for Minnesotans with propane issues or questions.
The hotline will operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can be reached at 800-657-3504.
